Red Hawks Lose By One Goal At Lawrence

The Ripon men's soccer team lost its third consecutive game Tuesday afternoon, falling to Lawrence University by a score of 1-0. The Red Hawks outshot Lawrence during both halves, while holding a 16-9 advantage in the game.

The only goal of the contest came in the 58th minute when Charlie Mann found the back of the net thanks to an assist from Sean Salansky. From there, both teams played tremendous defense, as neither team scored in the final 32 minutes.

Ripon Goal Keeper Cody Messerschmidt played all 90 minutes, making four saves. Lawrence's Joe Krivit also played the entire game in goal, saving seven shots for the Vikings.

The Red Hawks will now step outside conference play on Saturday, as they'll host Northland International University at 1:30 p.m. That game will be Ripon's annual Senior Day celebration and can be seen live on http://client.stretchinternet.com/client/ripon.portal#.
