NAPERVILLE, Ill. - Ripon College sophomore
Jenna Breaker is a National Champion. She earned that distinction at Saturday's NCAA Division-III Indoor National Championships, winning the high jump with a school record jump of 5-07.75. That breaks her own school mark of 5-06.5, which she set last weekend.
A Studio Arts major from Tigerton, Wis., Breaker entered the weekend ranked sixth in Division-III in the high jump. She is the second National Champion in the history of Ripon's track & field program and is the first woman in program history to become a National Champion.
In just her second season with the Red Hawks, Breaker has already participated in Nationals two times, making it to the Outdoor Championships last year. She will begin her quest for a third Nationals appearance when Ripon opens its 2013 outdoor season on Saturday, March 23 with the annual Sherman-Lukoski Invite. That meet will begin at 10:30 a.m. and will be held at Ingalls Field in Ripon.
