RIPON, Wis. - Saturday's men's soccer game between Ripon and Illinois College lasted 63 minutes without a goal. That consecutive minutes streak ended in the 64th minute when Drew Comstock scored on an assist from Jordan Nelson, giving the Blueboys a 1-0 victory.

Illinois College (6-4-1, 1-2-0 MWC) outshot the Red Hawks (1-7-0, 1-2-0 MWC) 11-3, including 5-0 in the first half.

Both Goal Keepers played admirably. Ripon's Cameron Plantz played the entire game, making seven saves on the day, while Illinois College's Scott Workman also played all 90 minutes, recording one save.

The Red Hawks will now step outside conference play with a game against UW-Superior of the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) on Sunday. That game is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. at Prairie Field in Ripon and can be seen live on http://client.stretchinternet.com/client/ripon.portal#.
