KOHLER, Wis. - Ripon won two singles matches and one doubles match Thursday night, but it wasn't enough to defeat Lakeland College, which handed the Red Hawks their third consecutive loss by a score of 6-3.

In doubles play, Ripon's lone victory came at the number three flight where Lucero Pena and Maura Slattery defeated Alissa Stephani and Sarah Allman, 9-7.

Ripon's two singles victories came from freshmen Madeline VandenHouten and Slattery. VandenHouten improved her season record to 3-1 with a 6-1, 6-2 victory at the number two flight, while Slattery's victory came at the sixth flight by a score of 6-2, 6-7 (3-7), 10-7.

The Red Hawks will try to get back in the win column on Saturday when they'll play both Knox and Beloit in Galesburg, Ill. Those matches will begin at 9 a.m. and Noon, respectively.
