DE PERE, Wis. - St. Norbert scored early and often Wednesday night, en route to an 8-0 win over Ripon. The Green Knights also outshot the Red Hawks, 38-5, including 23-3 in the second half.
St. Norbert (10-4-3, 4-2-3 MWC) began the scoring just one and a half minutes into the first half when Nathan Angell scored his fifth goal of the season. The Green Knights doubled their lead in the 23rd minute when Marco Delbecchi chipped one over the Goal Keeper's head from about 20 yards for his second goal of the year. Sam Lamers added a third goal late in the first half, his sixth of the season.
The second half saw even more scoring for the Green Knights. Angell netted his second goal of the game less than one minute into the period, while Lamers scored for the second time on the day just five minutes later. Joe Fabich, Patrick Hehir and Jim Blisk also got into the scoring column for St. Norbert.
Ripon (2-14-1, 0-9-0 MWC) will finish their season Saturday at home against Grinnell College. That game will begin at 11 a.m. at Prairie Field.
