OSHKOSH, Wis. - One day after a dominating pair of performances at the UW-Oshkosh Tournament, the Ripon volleyball team concluded the event Saturday with losses to both Dominican (Ill.) and the host team, UW-Oshkosh. Ripon tied for the fourth-best record during the weekend out of 12 competing teams.

In Saturday's first match, Ripon lost to Dominican (5-4) in three sets, 14-25, 13-25, 22-25. Dominican recorded at least 13 kills in each set and posted a combined hitting percentage of .393, while Ripon ended the match with a hitting percentage of .078. The Red Hawks were led by Allison Barnes' eight kills, to go along with her five digs and two blocks (one solo). Katie Berrell added six kills, while Emily Gary registered five kills and two block assists. Abbi Williamson led the team with 21 assists.

In Ripon's final match of the Tournament, they took UW-Oshkosh to four sets, before losing, 24-26, 13-25, 25-23, 14-25. The Red Hawks were led by Barnes and Gary, with 15 kills apiece. Barnes also added a team-high 11 digs, while Gary had two blocks (one solo) and a hitting percentage of .419, en route to being named to the All-Tournament team. Berrell chipped in with 13 kills, while Williamson led all players with 48 assists.

The Red Hawks (9-4) will try to get back on the winning track next weekend when they'll host the 2014 Red Hawk Invitational. They will face UW-River Falls and University of Dubuque Friday at 3 and 7 p.m., respectively.
