RIPON, Wis. - The Ripon men's soccer team defeated Illinois College 1-0 in their season finale Saturday afternoon, giving the Red Hawks (7-10-1, 2-8-0 MWC) their most overall wins since 2010, which saw them win 11 games en route to a Midwest Conference Championship. The Red Hawks' seven victories are more than the last two seasons combined.
Saturday's only goal came in the second half, as
Paul Karls scored in the 63rd minute for his 10th goal of the season. That ties the freshman for the seventh-most single season goals in program history. He was assisted by fellow freshman
Logan Wright,on the play.

Jimmy Amedeo continued his outstanding play down the stretch, as the freshman recorded 14 saves for his fourth shutout of the season, which ranks fifth in program history for a single season. Amedeo has combined for 30 saves in his last two games of the season. Ty Clearwater added nine saves for Illinois College (9-7-2, 3-5-2 MWC).
