WATERTOWN, Wis. - One hundred-ten minutes weren't enough to claim a winner Thursday night, as Ripon's men's soccer team played to a 1-1 tie after two overtime periods against Maranatha Baptist.
Ripon (2-0-1) got the scoring started just four minutes into the contest when freshman
Brenden Raasch scored his third goal of the season, thanks to an assist from fellow first-year player
Paul Karls.
After neither team scored for the remainder of the first half, Maranatha Baptist (3-1-0) tied things up in the 53rd minute on a goal by Timothy Rogers. Neither team would find the net for the rest of the day, ending the game in a tie after two overtime periods.
Jimmy Amedeo played all 110 minutes at Goal Keeper for the Red Hawks, making eight saves. Maranatha Baptist's Charles Leeds also played the entire game, saving seven shots.
The Red Hawks will take the field again on Tuesday when they'll host Silver Lake College. That game will begin at 5 p.m. at Prairie Field in Ripon and can be seen live at,
