GRINNELL, Iowa - Ripon's men's soccer team lost to Grinnell Saturday afternoon by a score of 2-0, with both of Grinnell's goals coming in the second half. The Pioneers also held a 30-4 shot advantage and a 13-0 edge on corner kicks.
After the two teams went into halftime in a scoreless tie, Noah Fluharty gave Grinnell (7-8-1, 5-3-0 MWC) the lead in the 54th minute with his second goal of the season. Nine minutes later, Antonio Dimarco doubled Grinnell's lead on a Penalty Kick to cap the scoring.

Jimmy Amedeo played all 90 minutes between the pipes for the Red Hawks (2-13-2, 0-7-1 MWC), making 15 saves, while Grinnell saw Jared Cloutier and Michael Spicer saved two shots between them in the combined shutout.
Ripon will wrap up their 2017 campaign on October 28 in what will be Senior Day at Prairie Field in Ripon. The Red Hawks will play Lake Forest at 3:30 p.m. on a day that will honor Amedeo,
Corey Beecher, and
Gary Sexson for their outstanding soccer careers and their hard work and commitment to the Ripon College men's soccer program.
