Box Score 2 WINONA, Minn. - Ripon's volleyball team faced a pair of tough opponents in Saturday's second day of the Sugar Loaf Classic, hosted by Saint Mary's (Minn.), losing both matches in three sets. The Red Hawks lost to University of Chicago 19-25, 18-25, 17-25, before falling to Minnesota-Morris 14-25, 20-25, 12-25.
Against University of Chicago (3-1), the Red Hawks (1-3) were led by seniors Jonalee Elliott and
Kat Kulas, and freshman
Brooke Bauer, whom each finished with six kills. Freshman
Emily Allard added a team-high 21 assists, while
Stacie Klika led the team in digs with 23.
Kaylie Marks also chipped in with a team-high five blocks (one solo).
Facing Minnesota-Morris (3-1) in their second match of the day, Ripon was led by Kulas and
Aubreigh Zimmerman, who each recorded six kills. Allard finished with 16 assists to lead the way, while Klika added a team-high eight digs.
Ripon will be in action again on Wednesday when they'll host MSOE at 7 p.m. in their first match on the renovated Weiske Gymnasium inside the new and improved Willmore Center. That match can be seen live atÂ
