Box Score RIPON, Wis. - Ripon's men's soccer team defeated MacMurray College 4-0 Wednesday afternoon for their third consecutive shutout to begin the season. The Red Hawks also out-shot MacMurray 15-6, including 9-1 in the second half.
Ripon (2-0-1) opened the scoring in the 25th minute when 
Devin Hoaglin notched his first goal of the season on an assist from 
Max Mindiola. Two minutes later, 
Grant Grywalsky doubled the Red Hawks lead on a Penalty Kick, his second goal of the season. Less than one minute after that, Hoaglin was in the scoring column again, with the assist credited to Grywalsky and 
Eugene Pliska. 
Gary Sexson scored Ripon's only other goal on a header in the 80th minute.
Jimmy Amedeo once again played the entire game in goal, extending his shutout streak to 290 consecutive minutes to begin the season, while recording six saves. His counterpart, Jacob Trim, saved seven shots in his 90 minutes of action for MacMurray (0-3-0).
The Red Hawks will try to keep their momentum going on Saturday when they'll travel to MSOE. That game will begin at 1 p.m. in Milwaukee, Wis. and can be seen live at
