Box Score RIPON, Wis. - In their first match in the newly renovated Weiske Gymnasium inside Willmore Center, the Ripon College volleyball team lost to MSOE in four sets. The Red Hawks got off to a good start, winning the first set 25-22, but lost the next three, 15-25, 18-25, and 20-25.
Ripon (1-4) finished the match with a hitting percentage of .053, while MSOEÂ (3-2) recorded a hitting percentage of .148. The Raiders also led or tied the Red Hawks in kills in each set.
Emily Allard led Ripon with 10 kills, to go along with 10 digs and nine assists.
Jonalee Elliott added nine kills and two block assists, while Aubreigh Zimmerman had six kills and two block assists. Leading the team in digs was
Stacie Klika with 25, while
Kaylie Marks posted a team-high three service aces and
Olivia Heck led the team with 23 assists.
MSOE received 12 kills from Rachel Lynde to lead the way. Abby Born led the Raiders in assists with 32, while Aleah Quast recorded a team-high 22 digs.
Ripon will be in action again on Friday when they'll take part in the UW-Stevens Point Pointer Invitational. They will face the host school UW-Stevens Point at 3 p.m., before battling Lakeland at 5 p.m., with both matches scheduled to be played at Berg Gym in Stevens Point, Wis.
