RIPON, Wis. - The Ripon Volleyball team came to play Friday night against Marian University, defeating the Sabres for the second time this season in three sets. Ripon dominated the first set 25-9, before finishing them off 25-16 and 25-22 in the second and third set, respectively.
There was only one tie, with zero lead changes through the first two sets of the night. Ripon (7-15) finished the match with 41 kills and a .301 hitting percentage, while holding Marian (8-11) to 23 kills and a .028 hitting percentage.
Emily Allard led the Red Hawks with 12 kills and a hitting percentage of .409, to go along with eight digs.
Kaylie Marks was second on the team with 10 kills, while adding a hitting percentage of .526 and a match-high three blocks.
Brooke Bauer added nine kills, while
Stacie Klika led the team with 12 digs.
Olivia Heck led Ripon with 31 assists, giving her 1,216 for her career, which moves her into eighth place in program history.
Marian was led by Alexandra Meidl's seven kills, while Kaitlyn Kelley and Sara Komosa added five and four kills, respectively. Amber Yahr paced the Sabres with 19 assists, while Brooklyn Taylor led the team with 11 digs.
