Ripon Ends Season At MWC Championships

RESULTS

MADISON, Wis. -
Ripon's women's tennis team ended their 2018 season Sunday on the second and final day of the Midwest Conference Championships, as they took part in the MWC Singles Tournament.

At number one singles, Brianna Bembenek bowed out in the quarterfinals by a score of 6-4, 4-6, 7-5. Hannah Ryback won her first round match at the second flight 6-1, 6-4, before also losing in the quarterfinals by a score of 6-0, 6-1.

The number three flight saw Ripon's Samantha Kiesner advance to the consolation finals, where she lost 8-3. Morgan Makar won her first round match at the fourth flight 6-1, 6-4, before losing in the quarterfinals 6-0, 6-0.

MacKenzie Warner represented Ripon in the consolation finals at number five singles, losing 8-2. At number six singles, Katelyn Peroutka also advanced to the consolation finals where she was victorious by a score of 8-0.
