RIPON, Wis. - The Ripon College men's soccer team lost to Beloit College 2-1 Saturday afternoon in a game that saw both teams record 15 shots.
Beloit got on the board quickly with a Penalty Kick by Casey Wagner in the seventh minute, his second goal of the season. Neither team scored again until the 64th minute when Ben James notched his first goal of the year, finding the net in the bottom right part of the goal. Ripon was able to make things interesting late in the game, as
Noah Fish scored his first goal of the year on an assist from
Grant Grywalsky, but that would be all the scoring they could muster.
Cole Jurish played all 90 minutes at Goal Keeper for the Red Hawks, making seven saves. Alex Lyon also played the entire game in Goal for Beloit, recording 10 saves.
Ripon will be in action again on Tuesday when they'll host conference-leading St. Norbert at 3:30 p.m. on Prairie Field. That game can be seen live atÂ
