RIPON, Wis. - The Ripon College volleyball team ended their 2018 season on a positive note Saturday afternoon with a three-set victory over Beloit College. The Red Hawks won with relative ease by a score of 25-15, 25-14, 25-23, in a match that saw just two lead changes, all of which came in the first set.
Ripon (10-17, 4-5 MWC) finished the match with 38 kills and a .220 hitting percentage, while Beloit managed 21 kills. The Red Hawks were led by
Brooke Bauer and Senior
Aubreigh Zimmerman, who each recorded a match-high nine kills.
Emily Allard finished with eight kills and a match-high 13 digs, while
Kaylie Marks posted six kills and a team-high four blocks (two solo).
Olivia Heck led all players with 29 assists, while fellow Senior
Stacie Klika finished with 11 digs.
Beloit (8-17, 2-7 MWC) was led by Eva Laun-Smith's six kills, while Paige Wimbrow posted a team-high 16 assists. Shelby Strehlow led the Buccaneers in digs, with eight, while Allison Faber led all players with five blocks (two solo).
