APPLETON, Wis. - Ripon lost to Lawrence Thursday night by a score of 4-0, as the Vikings put the game away with three second half goals. Lawrence also out-shot the Red Hawks 19-9, including 10-4 in the first half.
Lawrence (3-8-0, 1-3-0 MWC) would break a scoreless tie in the 33rd minute on an unassisted goal by Will Nichols, which was the only goal in the first half. After halftime, Lawrence turned up the heat with a trio of goals, including two by Jawad Wleidat. Wedson Kazambwe scored the final goal of the game with just three minutes remaining.
Cole Jurish played the entire game at Goal Keeper for Ripon (3-7-1, 0-3-1 MWC), making eight saves, while Hunter Larson played all 90 minutes between the pipes for the Vikings, recording three saves.
Ripon will be in action again on Saturday when they'll travel to Moody Bible. That game is scheduled to begin at 2 p.m. in Chicago, Ill.
