EAU CLAIRE, Wis. - Ripon's second day of the UW-Eau Claire Tip-Off Classic ended in a loss Saturday afternoon, as the Red Hawks fell to  to UW-Oshkosh by a score of 64-32.
The game was controlled early by UW-Oshkosh (5-0), who scored the first 10 points. Ripon (0-3) then scored the next seven, but UW-O ended the opening quarter on a 7-0 lead to take another double-digit lead. The Titans pulled away in the second half, which saw them outscore Ripon 18-4 to take a 35-11 halftime lead.
Ripon shot 25 percent (10-40) from the floor on the day, while UW-Oshkosh converted 43 percent (23-54) of their shots. UW-Oshkosh also won the turnover battle by a 30-13 margin, turning those 30 turnovers into 31 points. The Titans also outscored Ripon 36-12 in the paint.
Maggie Oimoen led Ripon with 10 points in just 16 minutes. Freshman 
Kassidy Walters added five points and two rebounds off the bench, while 
Natalie Geiger chipped in with four points, three rebounds, three assists, two blocks, and two steals.
UW-Oshkosh was led by Isabella Samuels' 15 points and five rebounds. Melanie Schneider and Katie Ludwig each scored eight on a night that saw 13 Titans score at least one point.
The Red Hawks will try to bounce back Tuesday in their home opener against UW-Platteville. That game will begin at 7 p.m. at Weiske Gymnasium in Ripon, and can be seen live at
