AUBURNDALE, Fla. - Ripon's baseball team closed out their Spring Trip Friday night with a 7-1 loss to UW-Oshkosh.
The Red Hawks (1-8) fell behind early, as UW-O (4-2) scored two runs in both the first and second innings, before scoring once more in the third. Ripon's lone run came in the top of the fourth when
Riley Erickson scored on an error. The Titans got that run back in the bottom of that inning, before adding one more in the sixth.
Ripon recorded five hits in the game, as
Michael Barnes,
Nick Taranto,
Josh Oswald,
Ben Folger, and
Keegan Johnston each recorded a base knock.
David Knapp pitched well in relief, allowing two earned runs on six hits and striking out four in five innings of work. UW-Oshkosh finished the game with seven hits.
The Red Hawks will be in action again on Saturday when they'll travel to Mequon, Wis. to take on Concordia (Wis.) at 1 p.m. That game will have Live Video available atÂ
