Game Recap: Men's Soccer |

Red Hawks Win Second Consecutive Game

PLYMOUTH, Wis. - Ripon's men's soccer team picked up their second win in as many games Wednesday night, scoring a late goal to defeat Lakeland 1-0. In a game that was evenly matched for most of the night, each team finished with 10 shots, including six apiece in the second half.

The two teams went into halftime in a scoreless tie, which wasn't broken until there were just over seven minutes remaining in the second half. Ripon Senior Grant Grywalsky scored the game's only goal unassisted, his first of the season and eighth of his career.

Both Goal Keepers played all 90 minutes between the pipes. Cole Jurish saved four shots for Ripon (2-3-0), while Tyson Carter made five saves for Lakeland (3-2-0).

The Red Hawks will try to build on this momentum Saturday when they'll return home to host Edgewood College. That game will begin at 1 p.m. at Prairie Field in Ripon, and can be seen live at https://portal.stretchinternet.com/ripon/.
