DE PERE, Wis. - Ripon lost to St. Norbert Wednesday night by a score of 4-1. After trailing 1-0 at halftime, the Red Hawks allowed three second half goals, leading the the SNC victory.
St. Norbert (7-8-1, 3-3-1 MWC) broke a scoreless tie in the 35th minute when Anna Tristani scored her fifth goal of the season, as she cleaned up a loose ball in the box. The Green Knights would double their lead in the 68th minute on Hanna Lech's third goal of the season.
Ripon (3-9-2, 1-2-2 MWC) cut that lead in half four minutes later when
Brianna Schnell netted her third goal of the season on an assist from
Abby Ryan. St. Norbert then put the game to bed with a pair of goals in the final seven minutes, as Lech and Tristani each found the back of the net again.
Stefani Zeiger played the entire game in goal for the Red Hawks, saving nine shots. St. Norbert saw a combined seven saves from Ally Magiera and Ava Seifert.
The Red Hawks will be in action again on Saturday when they'll travel to Beloit College. That game will begin at 11 a.m. in Beloit, Wis.
