RIPON, Wis. - Ripon's men's soccer team lost its 2019 season opener Friday afternoon 3-0, allowing all three goals after halftime. The Warriors also out-shot the Red Hawks by a 22-6 margin.
Wisconsin Lutheran (1-0) broke a scoreless tie in the 59th minute on an unassisted goal by Jason Cano, who added a second score three and a half minutes later. WLC added an insurance goal in the 71st minute when Justin Kuffler scored on an assist by Trevor Millonzi.

Kenny Smith played all 90 minutes, recording 11 saves. His counterpart Erek Lehnen also played the entire game, making two saves.
Ripon (0-1) will be in action again on Tuesday when they'll host Marian (Wis.) at 4:30 p.m. from Prairie Field.
