RIPON, Wis. - The only goal of Tuesday's game came early in the first half, as Marian held on for a 1-0 win over the Red Hawks. The game was played pretty evenly throughout, with the Sabres holding a 15-14 shot advantage.
Emanuel Acosta did the scoring honors in the 14th minute, kicking the ball into the upper right corner of the goal. Kyle Klusendorf was credited with the assist.
Kenny Smith played all 90 minutes at Goal Keeper for the Red Hawks, saving seven shots, while Kevin Cervantes made six saves to preserve the shutout for Marian.
