RIPON, Wis. - Ripon's women's soccer team gave UW-Oshkosh everything they could handle Wednesday afternoon, taking them to the limit before the Titans escaped with a 4-3 victory.

Ripon (1-5-0) got the scoring started with Camrie Schmitz's team-leading seventh goal of the season just one and a half minutes into the contest. UW-Oshkosh (3-3-0) would tie things up four minutes later on Ashley Baalke's first goal of the year. That tie lasted two minutes, as Paige Pierce's third goal of the season gave Ripon a 2-1 lead thanks to an assist from Schmitz. The Titans added their second goal on a shot by Mackenzie Bennett in the 13th minute to tie the score, before taking their first lead in the 37th minute on Mariah Matthews' first goal of the year.

The score would be tied for the third time of the half just six minutes later when Pierce found Brianna Schnell for her second goal of the season, knotting the score up at three just before halftime. That tie lasted until the 65th minute when UW-O's Maddie Morris found Mallory Knight for her fourth goal of the season.

Both Goal Keepers played all 90 minutes. Stefanie Zeiger saved two shots for the Red Hawks, while Erin Toomey made three saves for UW-O.

Ripon will be in action again on Saturday when they'll host Carroll (Wis.) University. That game is scheduled for 1 p.m. at Prairie Field and can be seen live at https://portal.stretchinternet.com/ripon/.
