CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa - On the final day of the Mabel Lee Tournament, hosted by Coe College, Ripon's volleyball team dropped two matches, falling to UW-Platteville in three sets, before losing to Carleton in four.
In their first match of the day, Ripon (2-12) lost all three sets to UW-Platteville (10-3) by a score of 25-9, 25-23, 25-16.
Inesha Wiseman led the Red Hawks with five kills and a .250 hitting percentage, while
Emily Allard added four kills and a hitting percentage of .231.
Micaela Encarnacion led all players with four service aces, to go along with a team-high 15 digs.
Brooke Bauer led the team in blocks with four.
The Red Hawks followed that up with a four-set loss to Carleton (4-9) by a score of 30-28, 16-25, 17-25, 20-25. Ripon was led by Bauer's 17 kills and .294 hitting percentage, while Wiseman added nine kills and Allard and
Lydia Ellis each finished with eight. Encarnacion again led the team in service aces and digs with three and 17, respectively. Allard also finished with a team-high 36 assists.
Ripon will be in action again on Wednesday when they'll open conference play at St. Norbert. That match will begin at 7 p.m. in De Pere, Wis., and can be seen live atÂ
