WHITEWATER, Wis. - Ripon's women's soccer team lost at UW-Whitewater Tuesday night by a score of 3-0, as the Warhawks scored once in the first half, and twice more in the second.
UW-Whitewater (3-4-2) got the scoring started in the 26th minute when Savannah Curtis notched her third goal of the season on assists from Katy Kusswurm and Anna Perona. Kusswurm added a goal of her own in the opening minutes of the second half on an assist from Elli Wahlberg, while Madisyn Smith accounted for the game's other goal.
Stefani Zeiger played the entire game at Goal Keeper for Ripon (2-6-0), saving three shots on the day. Her counterpart, Nina Yonan, also played all 90 minutes, but did not have to make a save to preserve the shutout.
Ripon will be in action again on Saturday when they'll open their conference season at home against Knox at 11 a.m. That game will be played at Prairie Field in Ripon, and can be seen live atÂ
