STEVENS POINT, Wis. - Ripon took part in the Pointer Invitational Friday night, losing to Lakeland University in three sets, 25-14, 25-19, 25-17. The Muskies finished the match with a hitting percentage of .386, while the Red Hawks recorded a .155 hitting percentage. Lakeland also held an advantage in kills (39-28).
Ripon (2-3) was led by freshman
Kaelyn Flairty's eight kills (.250 hitting percentage), while fellow first-year
Monika Minniecheske recorded six kills. Freshman
Ellie MacKenzie led all players with 25 assists, while
Micaela Encarnacion had a match-best 13 digs.
Lakeland (3-3) was led by Shannon Bishop's 10 kills (.412 hitting percentage), while Abby Baumgartner and Megan Goeser each finished with six. Neenah Primas led the Muskies with 25 assists, while Sydney Pingitore added a team-high nine digs.
