Ripon's women's tennis team lost both matches they played on Sunday by identical 9-0 scores. The Red Hawks lost to Cornell to start the day, before falling to Grinnell in the afternoon.
Against Cornell (3-3, 1-2 MWC), Ripon's closest match came in number three singles where
Tamera Holland lost 3-6, 6-3, 9-11. Holland also teamed up with
Hannah Ryback in number one doubles, narrowly losing 8-6.
In their second game of the day, Grinnell (3-0, 3-0 MWC) won all three doubles matches and all six singles matches.
Ripon (1-3, 0-2 MWC) will be in action again on October 14 when they'll host Knox and Monmouth at 9 a.m. and 3 p.m., respectively. Both of those matches will take place at Ripon High School.
