A native of Ripon, Wis., Erin Lind Lambert '13 is one of just two players in the 46-year history of the Ripon College Women's Basketball program to earn All-Conference honors four times, which includes three First Team selections. Interestingly enough, the only healthy season that Lambert didn't end up on the First Team came during her senior season. One of only nine players in program history to eclipse 1,000 career points, Lambert ranked fifth at the time of her graduation, and currently ranks sixth with 1,244 points.
In addition to her scoring prowess, Lambert also finished her career ranking third in school history for career rebounds, and currently ranks fourth with 656, making her one of just five players in program history to record more than 1,000 points and 600 rebounds in a career. Eight years after her graduation, Lambert also still ranks ninth in program history for career 3-pointers (89), seventh in blocked shots (59), and second in double-doubles (19).
Lambert's career as a Red Hawk couldn't have began any better, as she led the team in scoring (12.2 ppg), rebounding (6.5 rpg), and blocked shots (17) as a freshman. That helped Ripon capture Head Coach Julie Johnson's fourth and final Midwest Conference Championship of her career, as the Red Hawks finished with a 17-9 record and Lambert landed a First Team All-Conference selection. That conference title qualified the team for the 2009 NCAA Division-III Tournament, which resulted in a 55-42 loss to Saint Benedict in the First Round.
As a sophomore, Lambert led Ripon to a second consecutive trip to the MWC Tournament, where they would ultimately fall in the conference championship game. The team finished with an 18-7 record, as Lambert again led the Red Hawks in scoring (15.2 ppg), rebounding (7.4 rpg), and blocked shots (18). Her 381 points that season is the eighth-highest single season total in program history, as she was again named First Team All-Conference.
Lambert's career wasn't without obstacles however. Prior to her junior year, she suffered a season-ending injury, but didn't let that setback define her career. After taking a medical redshirt and putting in countless hours of rehab, Lambert returned the following year to again lead the Red Hawks in both scoring (13.9 ppg) and rebounding (7.5 rpg), en route to yet another First Team All-Conference selection. She also finished that season ranking 39th in all of NCAA Division-III for field goal percentage (.519).
Lambert completed the four-year sweep of leading the team in both scoring and rebounding when she accomplished that feat yet again as a senior with 13.9 ppg and 7.9 rpg on what was Coach Johnson's final season at the helm of the Red Hawks. In the four years she spent on the court for the Red Hawks, Lambert led Ripon to a cumulative record of 57-40.
Lambert currently resides in her hometown of Ripon. She and her husband Jeremiah have been married for nearly three years.
