OSHKOSH, Wis. - Ripon's women's basketball team lost at #23 UW-Oshkosh Monday night by a score of 87-37. UW-Oshkosh scored 48 points in the paint, while also scoring 36 off 24 Ripon turnovers.
Each team held a lead in the opening quarter, with UW-Oshkosh (8-2) taking a 17-12 lead into the second period. The Titans then took control of the game, outscoring the Red Hawks (4-8) 22-4 in the period to take a 39-16 halftime lead.
Ripon shot 26 percent (11-42) in the game, including 13 percent (2-15) from 3-point range, while also converting 93 percent (13-14) of their free throws. They were led by a career-high seven points by
Anna Fahrney.
Bailey Mollen added career-highs of six points and five rebounds off the bench, while
Kiana Fall scored five points.
UW-Oshkosh converted 51 percent (34-67) of their shots, including 31 percent (8-26) from 3-point range. Brooke Freitag led the Titans with 13 points, to go along with three rebounds and three assists. Jenna Jorgensen added 12 points, while Ava Douglas scored 10 off the bench.
