CAROL STREAM, Ill. - After a 665-day wait due to COVID-19, Ripon College's baseball team returned to the field Friday night, as they lost to Wheaton (Ill.) by a score of 6-0. Wheaton also out-hit the Red Hawks by a 10-5 margin.
The game remained scoreless into the fifth inning when Wheaton got on the board with a three-run double in the bottom of that frame. The Thunder added two more in the sixth and another in the eighth to cap the scoring.
Two of Ripon's five hits came off the bat of 
Nick Terrell, while the others came off the bats of 
Jake Pankratz, 
Keegan Johnston, and 
Zach Albrent.
Ripon will be in action again on Sunday when they'll travel to Carol Stream, Ill. once more for a doubleheader against #6 North Central College. The first game is scheduled to begin at Noon, with audio of the game available at
