DE PERE, Wis. - Ripon lost both games of Sunday's doubleheader at St. Norbert, dropping the first game 6-3, before falling 12-3 in five innings in game two.

The first game of the day saw St. Norbert jump on the board early with three runs in the first and two more in the second. Ripon scored two runs of their own in the top of the third, both coming on a double by Abby Gilbertson. After SNC scored once more in the fourth, Ripon got that run back in the fifth on Claire Luebke's second career home run, but it wasn't enough to dig out of that early deficit.

Ripon out-hit St. Norbert 11-9 in the contest. The Red Hawks were led by two hits apiece from Gilbertson, Micaela Encarnacion, Brennah Bronk, Abby Gilbertson, and Addison Lindsey. Margaret Herrin pitched well in relief, allowing just one run on two hits in four innings of work.

The second game of the doubleheader also saw St. Norbert jump on the board early with eight runs in the opening inning. Ripon got two of those runs back in the second on a bases loaded walk drawn by Mikaela Lawrence and an RBI single from Luebke. St. Norbert would then score three runs in the bottom of that inning, before adding a run in the fourth. Ripon capped the scoring in the fifth when a run crossed the plate thanks to a Green Knights error.

St. Norbert out-hit Ripon 11-6 in game two. The Red Hawks were led by Luebke's 2-for-2 performance at the dish, while Encarnacion, Gilbertson, Anna Bauer and Kayley Grabowski each registered one hit.

Ripon will be in action again on Thursday against this same St. Norbert team.
