RIPON, Wis. - Ripon's men's soccer team lost to Illinois Tech Sunday afternoon by a score of 4-1, behind a trio of first half goals.
Illinois Tech broke a scoreless tie in the 15th minute when Michael Kaczowka scored the game's first goal. Anthony Paiotti added another Illinois Tech goal three minutes later, while Devin Zaken netted a goal of his own in the 34th minute, on an assist from Kaczowka.
Illinois Tech added to that lead in the second half when Paiotti found Ziyad Yacoubou for a goal to put them up by four goals. Ripon's lone goal came in the 73rd minute on a Free Kick from
Charles Schultz.
Kenny Smith and
Warren Januszkiewicz split time in goal for the Red Hawks, combining for seven saves. Illinois Tech's David Glazener played the entire game at Goal Keeper, making one save.
Ripon will be in action again on Wednesday when they'll travel to Carroll University. That game will begin at 7 p.m. in Waukesha, Wis., and can be seen live at https://portal.stretchinternet.com/carroll/.
