RIPON, Wis. - Ripon's women's soccer team lost to Finlandia 2-1 Saturday afternoon in a battle of non-conference schools. Finlandia also out-shot the Red Hawks 29-4.

Ripon wasted no time getting on the board, as Olivia Killian scored her first goal of the season just 45 seconds into the contest. That lead would be short-lived, as Finlandia tied things up in the fifth minute on a goal by Shannon Mattson. That tie lasted into the second half, which saw Finlandia score the go-ahead goal off the foot of Katie Brown in the opening minutes of the second period.

Lucie Hodgkins played all 90 minutes in goal for the Red Hawks, making 14 saves. Finlandia received three saves from Goal Keeper Aspen Wallin.
