ROCKFORD, Ill. - Ripon's men's soccer team lost their second game in as many days Thursday night, falling to Rockford University by a score of 3-0. Rockford out-shot the red Hawks 25-4, including 16-2 in the second half.
Rockford (1-0) got on the board first in the 14th minute when Baruani Kamangila scored, unassisted for the only goal of the first half. Kamangila would double that lead with another goal in the opening minute of the second period, before Mauricio Flores tacked on an insurance goal in the final seconds.
Kalan Narance played all 90 minutes in goal for the Red Hawks (0-2), making six saves. Rockford Goal Keeper Maverick Attwood also played the entire game, saving two shots.
Ripon will be in action again on Sunday when they'll host Lakeland College. That game will begin at 1 p.m. on Prairie Field, and can be seen live at https://portal.stretchinternet.com/ripon/.
