BELOIT, Wis. - Ripon's men's soccer team lost their 2021 conference opener Saturday afternoon, falling at Beloit by a score of 2-0. Beloit also out-shot the Red Hawks by a 16-6 margin.
After a scoreless first half, Beloit's Conor Waldron gave the Buccaneers (3-3-1, 1-0-0 MWC) a 1-0 lead with his second goal of the season coming in the 53rd minute. Deji Agunbiade scored the only other goal of the game, doubling Beloit's lead in the 83rd minute.
Ripon's
Warren Januszkiewicz played all 90 minutes between the pipes for the Red Hawks, making eight saves. His counterpart, Brock Bidwell, also played the entire game at Goal Keeper for the Buccaneers.
The Red Hawks (2-7-1, 0-1-0 MWC) will be in action again on Wednesday when they'll tangle with Lake Forest College. That game will begin at 4:30 p.m. at Prairie Field in Ripon, and can be seen live at https://portal.stretchinternet.com/ripon/.
