Box Score WATERTOWN, Wis. – The Ripon College men's soccer team scored early and often in the 7-0 victory at Maranatha Baptist Tuesday afternoon.
The Red Hawks improve to 6-6-3 on the season. Ripon scored six first-half goals en route to the win.
The Red Hawks' seven-goal margin of victory was the largest since an 8-1 win at Eureka College on Sept. 3, 2014.
At the 7:23 mark,
Christian Millan found
Pablo Gallardo for a 1-0 lead.
Eli Dietzel recorded back-to-back scores only four minutes apart for a 3-0 edge. Dietzel's first tally came at the 14:16 mark while Arthur Soltys found Dietzel for a 3-0 margin in the 19
th minute of play.
Braden Lechner dished out an assist to
Andre Robertson at the 25:26 mark. The duo connected again just 1:32 later for a 5-0 lead.
Just before halftime, Robertson distributed a pass to
Tim Geocaris for a 6-0 advantage.
The visitors tacked on a goal in the 85
th minute.
Seth Beckman found the back of the net off a pass from
Owen Mehring.
For the match, Ripon garnered 11 shots in the contest.
Kalan Narance played 45 minutes in goal and had a pair of saves to lead the defense.
Sam Jahnke accounted for one save.
Robertson led the way with two goals and an assist while Dietzel had two scores.
