Â
After taking an early second-half lead, Ripon found themselves playing catch-up for most of the final frame. The Red Hawks trailed by as much as 5 points in the second half, but they too, would not let the game get away from them and came back to keep the game within one possession for most of the final 10 minutes.
Â
The Red Hawks retook the lead with a little over 5 minutes to play on a free throw by Theune and extended that lead to 6 points, 69-63, with 3 minutes to play. The Red Hawks were still one stop from victory, but Capstran's turnaround jumper with 6 seconds left followed by Jorgensen's three-pointer coming up short left Ripon with a 70-69 defeat.
