The Ripon College women's basketball team rode a big second quarter to post a 67-59 victory over Wisconsin-Stout Wednesday afternoon.

Alison Leslie led the Red Hawks with 21 points and 8 rebounds, shooting 5-of-10 from three-point range.
Skyylar Brescia had 14 points, 7 rebounds, and 3 steals in just 18 minutes on the court, and
Bonnie Jensen rounded out the double-digit scorers with 10 points despite fouling out after 31 minutes of play.
Kiana Fall had just four points, but she led Ripon with four assists.

Ripon held a slight, 16-13, advantage after the first quarter, but the second quarter is where the Red Hawks took control of the game. Ripon shot 54% from the floor, and 72% from three-point range, while limiting Stout to just four made baskets en route to a 23-11 second quarter and a 15-point halftime lead.

The Red Hawks came out of the locker room cold, shooting just 3-of-15 and were outscored 19-8 in the frame, but Ripon was able to hold on to a 4-point edge with 10 minutes left to play. UW-Stout took a 1-point lead, 50-49, three minutes into the fourth quarter, but Ripon rattled off a 14-5 run, punctuated by
Alison Leslie's three with 1:26 to play to break-open an 8-point lead. The Red Hawks went 4-for-4 from the charity stripe down the stretch to close out the 67-59 victory.
