Dameco Walker Earns MWC Track Performer of the Week Honors

For the second time in two months, Ripon junior Dameco Walker has been named Midwest Conference Performer of the Week, this time earning the Indoor Track honor.

Walker had a historic day on Saturday, as he led Ripon to a first-place finish at the 13-team Dick Hendricks Invitational, establishing an individual school record in the 200m, while also running a leg on the 4x200 relay that also established a new school record. Walker's time in the 200m of 22.52 breaks an 11-year-old record, while the team of Walker, Ben Fisher, Steven Klika and Jacoby Cefalu eclipsed a seven-year-old mark by 0.10 seconds.

In addition to the school records, Walker also won the Long Jump with a distance of 22-07.25. On the MWC Honor Roll, Walker currently sits first in the Long Jump, 4x200 and 4x400, second in the 200m and 400m dashes, and third in the Triple Jump.
