For the second time this year and first time during the Outdoor season, Ripon junior
Mikayla Flyte has been named Midwest Conference Women's Track Performer of the Week, as released Tuesday by the conference office.
Flyte debuted in the 5000 meters in a big way as she dropped nearly a minute off of her outdoor best from 2021, and nearly a minute ahead of second place, as she won the event at Saturday's Beloit Invite with a new PR of 18:27.22. That performance ranks second all-time at Ripon and is the fastest in the MWC by over one minute.
