GENEVA, Ohio – Junior
Dameco Walker has qualified for the NCAA DIII Outdoor Championships and is set to compete on Thursday May 26th in the Long Jump.
The Brown Deer, Wis. Native has followed up his qualification in the same event indoors this year, as he enters the meet seeded ninth overall. He set the school record in the Long Jump earlier this season as he jumped out to 7.57m (24'10), breaking the mark set back in 1924 by Ralph Christofferson.
Walker is the first Ripon College athlete to qualify in the Long Jump Indoors and Outdoors for the NCAA DIII Championships. He also ranked 32nd in NCAA DIII in the Triple Jump with his school record leap of 14.47m (47'5.75) and was a part of the 4x100 record setting relay from the MWC Championships.
For the 2022 Outdoor Championships, the Long Jump competition is scheduled for 1:30 pm Central Time on Thursday May 26th at the SPIRE Institute in Geneva, Ohio. Live results and webcast can be found at
