RIPON, Wis. – The Ripon College Track & Field program has announced the hiring of Callista DeCramer '21 as a full-time Assistant Track & Field Coach.  DeCramer returns to Ripon College after a season as Head Track & Field Coach and Teacher at Kofa High School in Yuma, Ariz.
 
We are really excited to bring Callista back to a program where she contributed so much as a student-athlete, and now will have the opportunity to do so as a coach," Director of Track & Field and Cross Country Bob Wood said. "Her passion for Ripon College, Coaching and the sport of Track & Field will be an extremely valuable asset to our program. It was great to see what Callista could do shaping her own program at Kofa, and now can bring that experience to Ripon College."
 
While at Kofa High School, DeCramer brought the program to new levels of success in training, state qualifiers and participation numbers.  During the 2022 season they recorded 17 Top-10 All-Timer performances while qualifying three athletes to the DI Arizona State Meet.
 
While at Ripon College, DeCramer was a standout performer on the track and in the classroom, going down as one of the top performers all-time in program history.  She leads all Red Hawks as a five-time NCAA Championships Qualifier (twice in the Pentathlon, twice in the Heptathlon, once in the Triple Jump).  Adding to that she was a 2020 All-American in the Pentathlon, 20-time All-MWC performer, five-time MWC champion while graduating with eight school records.
 
DeCramer graduated from Ripon College in the Spring of 2021 with a Human Performance major with Physical Education, Strength and Conditioning, Music and Educational Studies minors.  She was named to the National All-Academic list three times as well as earning the Achievement in Exercise Science Award in 2020.  She has also earned technical certification with the United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association
 
DeCramer joins a staff at Ripon College that was named MWC Coaching Staff of the Year for Indoor Men's and Women's Track & Field and Outdoor Track & Field for the Men in 2022.  She will be working primarily with athletes in the jumps, sprints, hurdles and combined events for the 2022-23 seasons.
