RIPON, Wisc. – The Ripon College men's soccer program scored four unanswered goals to open the match and cruised to victory over the Red Devils of Eureka, 4-1 at Prairie Field on Saturday afternoon.
Four different Red Hawks found the back of the net as
Tim Geocaris,
Finley Manning,
Jacob Oppeneer and
Andre Robertson all slipped balls past the keeper via bottom shelf strikes.
Eli Dietzel was feeling extremely generous, dishing out assists on three of the four goals to notch three points as the ultimate field general on the pitch.
As a team, Ripon had nine on-target shots over 17 attempts, a sparkling percentage of .529, with Oppeneer and
Shane Reid providing a pair each.
Kalan Narance did not see too much action between the pipes, registering the win with three saves after facing seven shots.
The Red Hawks are back in action Sunday at 2:30 p.m. in Chicago as it matches up with the Illinois Institute of Technology, looking to start a winning streak.
