RedHawks Post Scoreless Draw at Lake Forest

LAKE FOREST, Ill. - Led by junior goalkeeper Kalan Narance, Ripon College men's soccer snapped an 11-game losing streak to Lake Forest College on Friday, battling to a scoreless draw in Midwest Conference action. 

The tie moves Ripon and Lake Forest into an early tie for second place in the conference.

Narance collected a season-high 12 saves in goal to secure the tie, moving Ripon to 1-0-1 in Midwest play. It is his second-consecutive conference shutout after Ripon defeated Beloit College, 4-0, on Saturday. He now has 20 consecutive saves in four days and 47 total for the season. 

Ripon's first shot attempt did not come until the 49th minute, as Miguel Rodriguez's strike was stopped by Szymon Mocarski in the bottom left of the net.

Christian Millian led all players with three shots on goal for the RedHawks, which had six shots on target. All six came in the second half.

Narance stopped four goals in the first hand and eight in the second half. There was one team save.

Lake Forest controlled the second chance opportunities with 17 corner kicks to Ripon's three.

Ripon (2-5-2, 1-0-1 Midwest) will travel to Cornell College in Mount Vernon, Iowa on Saturday for an 11 a.m. conference game.
