Men's Soccer Falls On The Road to Saint Mary's (MN)

WINONA, Minn. – The Red Hawks of Ripon College concluded their season-opening, three-match road trip still searching for their first victory of 2022 after coming up short Wednesday by a score of 3-1 at St. Mary's (Minn.).
 
A pair of goals in the first 11 minutes of the match gave the Cardinals an advantage they enjoyed throughout the match as St. Mary's remained undefeated to start the season, improving to 2-0-2.
 
Andre Robertson's  first goal of the season cut Ripon's deficit to 2-1 in the 67th minute. Miguel Rodriguez assisted on Robertson's strike.
 
St. Mary's added an insurance goal in the 72nd minute.
 
The Red Hawks (0-2-1) had chances throughout the evening, enjoying a 4-2 advantage in corner kicks. Though Ripon was outshot 20-17, the Red Hawks put more of their shots on target (eight) than St. Mary's (seven).
 
Kalan Narance made four saves for the Red Hawks.
 
The Red Hawks will play their first official home match of the 2022 season Saturday, Sept. 10, when they host Eureka College at Prairie Field. Kickoff is scheduled for 1 p.m.
