RIPON, Wis. – The Ripon College men's track and field team posted a victory at the Alumni Dual with Beloit Saturday afternoon.
The Red Hawks tallied 120 points to 66 by Beloit.
Jacoby Cefalu won the 60m event with a mark of 7.05, besting teammate
Logan Vander Galien at the line (7.10).
The 60m hurdles saw the Red Hawks go one-two. Nate Wosmek won the event In 8.81 seconds while
Oscar Telschow was just behind him (9.35).
Cefalu captured the 200m in 22.7. The 800m saw
Rainier Villanueva take home the title in 1:58.17 while
Jamar Thomas posted a second-place finish in 2:05.79.
Matt Seeber (4:27.64) edged teammate Jonah Decleene (4:27.95) in the mile run.
Adrian Baquera and
Jake Budd went first and third in the 3,000m. Baquera won the event in 9:18.90 while Budd crossed the line in 9:48.03.
The Red Hawks dominated the field events.
Ben Fisher won the high jump (2.06m) while teammate
Cade Gray was second (1.88m).
Dameco Walker took first in the long jump with an effort of 6.67m while Lgan Vander Galien was second (5.96m).
Isaac Haring (3.49m) and
Dorian Phillips (2.89m) were second and third, respectively, in the pole vault.
Fisher and Walker took gold and silver in the triple jump. Fisher won with a mark of 13.43m while Walker's effort of 12.96m was good enough for second place.
The squad returns to action Saturday, Jan. 21 at the Red Hawk Opener.
