RIPON, Wis. – The Ripon College women's track & field team competed at the Red Hawk Opener Saturday afternoon.
The meet did not have team scores.
The Red Hawks started the meet by claiming the 4x200m relay in a time of 1:52.04. The trio of
Mikayla Flyte (18:31.45), Ali Denamur (18:50.11) and
Natalie Pakosz (19:14.66) finished on top of the podium in the 5,000m run.
Jenny Cortes won the mile race in 5:29.75 while
Payton Rahn's time of 1:01.39 was good enough for second place in the 400m.
Olivia Miller registered a gold medal in the 60m hurdles with a mark of 9.52.
Miller and Rahn went two-three in the 200m. Miller crossed the line in 27.16 while Rahn put up a time of 27.48.
Grace Engebretson took third in the 3,000m with a time of 11:07.93.
Bridget Finn's mark of 4.41m earned her the silver medal in the long jump.
Kynaeda Gray's effort of 9.68 was good enough for third place in the triple jump. Finn tied for third in the high jump with a mark of 1.48m.
Kalyn Otzelberger garnered a fourth-place finish in the shot put (11.75m).
The Red Hawks return to action Friday, Jan. 27, when they compete in the Squig Converse Invite in Whitewater, Wis.
