WHITEWATER, Wis. – The Ripon College women's track and field team finished third with 75 points at the Leonard "Squig" Converse Invitational.
Olivia Miller claimed the 60m hurdle championship with a time of 9.44. Her victory allowed the Red Hawks to pick up 10 points.
Grace Engebretson won the mile in a time of 5:38.88 while teammates
Isabelle Willett (5:41.46) and
Macy Goldthorpe (6:07.99) finished second and fourth, respectively.
Payton Rahn's time of 27.22 allowed her to place sixth in the 200m, which was good enough for three points. Rahn continued her solid day with a fifth-place effort in the 400m with a time of 1:01.58, which was good enough for four points.
Mikayla Flyte notched a time of 10:40.42 for second place in the 3,000m while teammates
Alison DeNamur (10:51.18) and
Natalie Pakosz (10:52.77) were fifth and sixth, respectively.
Jenny Cortes crossed the line in 2:23.78 for three points in the 8,000m.
The Red Hawks' 4x400m relay team crossed the line in 4:13.45, which was good enough for the bronze medal.
In the field events,
Olivia Miller's effort of 5.36m allowed her to post a fourth-place finish in the long jump.
Kalyn Otzelberger accounted for a fifth-place finish in the shot put with a mark of 12.07m.
The Red Hawks return to action Saturday, Feb. 4 at the Red Hawk Invite.
