The Ripon College Women's Track and Field Team took home a second-place finish at the WI Private College Championships Sunday afternoon.

The Red Hawks earned 102.5 points to take second in the 12-team field, 16.5 points clear of third-placed Carthage, but short of St. Norbert, who posted 145.5 points on the day.

Ripon won three individual events and had another five athletes make it to the podium before the end of the meet.

The Red Hawks' took two of the three spots on the podium in the 3,000m Steeplechase with
Mikayla Flyte taking first with a time of 12:00.34 and
Natalie Pakosz finishing third after running the race in 12:29.98.

Olivia Miller won the 100m Hurdles race in 15.26 seconds and
Payton Rahn took first in the 400m Dash after finishing the run in 61.62 seconds.

Jenny Cortes finished second in the 800m race, then teamed up with Rahn,
Grace Engebretson and
Isabelle Willett to finish second in the 4x400m Relay, completing the race in 4:15.41.

Ali Denamer took second in the 5,000m race, finishing in 18:32.52.

Miller nearly won her second event of the day but finished second in the Long Jump with a 5.55m jump.

Ripon next competes at the SNC Easter Invite on Thursday, April 6th with the a meet start of 2:00 p.m.
